I had a friend buy me Valheim for my birthday, insisting that I'd love it. He was right, it's a fantastic game. I love just about everything from the building to gathering, crafting, and even the combat. I think it's one of the rare games I give a must buy to for anyone that enjoys survival games.

It's a rare game that I beat nearly after the early access launch and sunk around 75 hours solo into it. I fell in love with it and it helped me through a breakup. I accepted the incomplete ending and told myself i would play it again years later when it was released fully. I will have wait for at least 1.5 years more i think but i am so looking forward to it

If 20$ is too much you can wait for some sale. On Christmas there is a big sale and i think i cost like 10$

Hard mode Valheim was really fun with friends. Playing solo it's brutal to not be able to teleport resources. Just reduces a fun experience to making the same trip again and again. I'm happy they added the ability to customize the experience. I don't think I would enjoy passive enemies, but sailing back and forth by myself just isn't as fun as it is with a group of friends.

It's a great game with an awesome concept and a successful implementation. It's unfinished, and while many others enjoy building houses / playing with mods for 1000 hours, I got tired after 2-3 playthroughs. Still very well worth the price and some of the best gaming I've ever had, especially when playing with friends. I hope it will get more content, not just the last two biomes but also stuff like unique mobs and equipment. Right now you kinda feel like you've seen all meadows once you've seen 2-3 of them, same goes for the rest of the biomes. So while the exploring and adventuring through sailing feels awesome at first, it quickly starts feeling a bit pointless. But, first playthrough is amazing.

I started right when the hype began at the beginning and im still playing now. A few months in I started a server with a few friends and its still going now. We start a new world every time they do an update and we occasionally go play something else in the middle. 2686 hours of game time later im ready to start again in the Ashlands. Best game money ive ever spent.
Side note - on a server is the way to go.

My Brother in Law introduced me and Hubby to this game. Currently standing at 1700 odd hours myself, active playing on about 5 servers of which two are patreon servers, on a private server and guest on another and still loving it

Valheim has certainly entered my top 20 games of all time, possibly top 10.
Incredible that it is so complex (without being complicated) with such great playablility and yet has a download size of less than 2 gb - unheard of in current age gaming.
We need content however, me and a friend have been end game for so long we could lose our entire outfits 5x over and probably still be fine.

invited my friends to check it out who plays competitive games, im surprised that they got hooked kinda proud of them ;P, never thought of it happened. much more fun to play with 2-3 players.

Best game since its release. My friends and I have around 1000 hours each and have spent those in multiplayer which is quite fun. We have a dedicated server and have replayed the game about 5 times. Mistlands was a bit disappointing for us, but overall we love the game.
