Defeating Adventism #86 – The Seventh-day Adventist 457 B.C. chronology refuted (Daniel 9:25)

The Seventh-day church teaches an unbiblical pile of dates, bible verses and historical events that ultimately end in 1844 which was originally the physical second coming of Christ by the false prophet William Miller. The Seventh-day Adventist church kept this false prophet’s chronology, but change the event in 1844. This chronology is fraught with error and this video will take down the beginning point of this chronology which is 457 B.C. and in particular show the Adventist use of Daniel 9:25 in support of their 457 B.C. date is erroneous. The Adventist claim that Daniel 9:25 supports the rebuilding of Jerusalem in a decree issued in 457 B.C. is utterly false as this video will show.

Does anyone else find it disconcerting that Ellen White was convinced of William Miller's message only a few months after she dropped out of school d/t her inability to sit and learn age-appropriate school work from her childhood trauma? Speaking of hebrew, in daniel 8, the kjv made another error by inserting days in dan 8:14, it should be 2300 "sacrifices". 1150 days. Killing 1844. In the Geneva, there is no word days. And you can find more evidence in exodus when you look at the words for evening and morning sacrifice.

You are so right, James, in declaring that the SDA fixation on 1844 is "left over junk" from the failed William Miller prediction that the second coming would take place that year. A more contrived notion than the SDA "investigative judgment" doctrine concocted to save face after the 1844 debacle could not be found in a thousand years.

There is no biblical support for "year-day" principle that SDAs claim applies to Daniel 8:14. There is no biblical support for the SDA claim that 457 BC is the starting date for the SDA "2300 year prophecy." There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that there is a literal, physical Sanctuary in heaven. There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that Jesus went from a heavenly "Holy Place" to a heavenly "Most Holy Place" in 1844. There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that the sins of believers are stored in, and pollute, the heavenly Sanctuary. There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that there is a "probation" period that ends prior to the second coming -- no body knows when -- and that terminates the possibility that nonbelievers can any longer be saved. There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that unconfessed sins are fatal to a believer's salvation. There is no biblical support for the SDA notion that Jesus death at Calvary does not suffice to reconcile sinners to God prior to conclusion of "the investigative judgment."

And that is only a small sample of the parade of falsehoods manifest in the SDA "investigative judgment" canard fashioned in an abortive attempt to salvage the misbegotten William Miller 1844 "prophecy."

I study this pretty hard and I study the protestants who started the reformation and they do agree that Jesus fulfilled Daniel 9 27 . That was unanimously taught 450 years ago by all protestants. But today, Adventists treat it like it is their own special interpretation.

1599 Geneva bible, in the footnotes, show the protestants taught 9:27 was fulfilled by Christ.

I can't think of a protestant from that time who didn't teach it was fulfilled

This video is about Adventist error regarding Dan 9:25 and not sbout the Sabbath, but Adventist commentors will push sabbath keeping into every discussion, the sabbath for them is "be it all and end it all" and it obscures their ability to see what the New Covenant and Christ completed Atonement on the Cross offers to the church, The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not about Sabbath keeping, Adventist need to respect and follow in line with what is presented in the video

Thank you about the 6 points. Year's ago, my Sunday School Teacher taught us that Dan.9:24 is the Gospel in miniature. You're the (one guy) that I take notes RE: your presentations. It doesn't matter how many times I have to replay the study that you present to us; I've got to re-listen', re-study' coordinate w/ my Bible. You're right that the Temple sacrifice's we're still going on until 70AD. The book of Hebrews shows that the Levitical Temple Services were still going on.

The SDAs cherry-picked events to create 457BC and connect Daniel 8:14s 2300 days to qualify 1843 and 1844. These are the work of people who are forcing Jesus to return in their lifetime.

The commandment to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple was given by Cyrus the Great who conquered Babylon in 539 BC.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied the birth, reign and function Cyrus would play in Isaiah 45:1-6 almost two hundred years before Cyrus was born, even calling him by name.

The prophet Jeremiah also prophesied about this same Cyrus the great.

The 457 decree that Adventism is partisan to is a re-echoing of the deceee which was issued originally by Cyrus the great and the re-enforced by Darius the Mede and then Xeres made reference to this same decree in 425 and 457 BC.

If all prophecy was complete and sealed up by AD 34, as Adventists apparently believe, that would also appear to leave no room for the book of Revelation as scholars believe that that prophecy was given somewhere between the late AD 60's and AD 95. So there goes almost all end time prophecy (which Adventism is so heavily centered around), not to mention the the fake "gospel" of the Three Angels Message!

God hides jewels in plain sight... eg Dan 9 :24-27. This tells us Messiah would come in the 70th week between 26- 33 AD . Messiah is slain in the middle of the 70th week to make the new stronger eternal covenant for many. Israel continued to practise the abolished Covenant until God uprooted the nation and destroyed the city and the Temple. War and desolation is decreed upon Jerusalem until Gods purpose upon Jerusalem is finished.
