Defeating Adventism #91 – Ellen White Victorian Trance Medium (Seventh-day Adventist) - Spiritualist

This video is essentially a review of the book “Victorian Women and the Theater of Trance” by Amy Lehman. I read this book as a result of a discover on one of its pages where in 1855 a young woman was able to lift heavy objects through the strength given het by her spirit. This is identical to Ellen White who was able to lift an extremely heavy bible through the strength given her by her spirit.
My conclusion after conducting the research for this video is that Ellen White exhibits feats and powers no different than the spiritualists of her time. Additionally, Ellen White was influenced by the excesses of the “Burnt Over District” where she resided for a period of time. This makes Ellen White a composite of the effects of the Burnt Over District and Spirit Mediums of her time.

I just did an interview with Fromer 3rd generation SDA Myles Ketelsen. He has a channel Answering Adventism. AcademyApologia has promoted him. I think everyone should do what they can to help this guy get as many subscribers ASAP. I thought I knew alot about SDA, but this guy showed me some new stuff I was clueless about.

AA, I'm glad you are starting a discussion on this subject. I will add to your presentation here that I have a biography of one of Ellen's contemporaries (written in the 1800s) regarding another young girl with similar claims and the most amazing "abilities". The claims made for this woman by those around her, and even herself, echo the fascination with Ellen so close at times it gives one the shivers. I can't wait to show what I've uncovered regarding this subject, including: the origin of one of her visions, claimed experiences that came from another author, and how she would use her "sickness" to promote her speaking, and writing.

Great video! Exposing this heretical denomination! I’m an EX SDA and remember in SDA school never being told that there was a huge movement in EGW’s time of believing Jesus was about to return. We were led to believe that this “little band of Millertites” were the one group who had studied their Bible so well that they had this new message! Now that I’m a real Christian, I know that was a lie! Also that at that time a large fascination with spiritualism swept America and parlor games of that type, and the ouija board and a morbid fascination with death abounded. Please expose more about this cults background of occultism and history of free masonry. I also found it interesting that her twin sister never converted to Adventist, only two of her siblings did and later one of them left Adventism. Of course the church never told us that either. Excellent video. After watching this one and the ones on the green cord, I am realizing that there was a heavy occult (Satanic) background to this church. This helps me understand why when I left the Adventist church, I felt like a deep darkness had been lifted from me.

Sitting here processing all this and it now makes sense that there were two kids in the sda primary school I went to who's parent's were spiritualist's - yep all good your kids can come here - but the pentecostal family was not welcome, their daughter was only there a few week's and us sda kids were told that we were not to play with or talk to her.

Watching Chris Lucas The Protestant View Live (who happens hold sabbath in high esteem) in a live interview with Myles Ketelsen from Answering Adventism.

Clear that Chris is a very introspective & intelletual type, but at the 1 hour 39 minute mark. I almost fell out of my chair.

Chris, in his own sheepish & halting way, says:

SDA's (commandment keepers) are breaking the first, and eighth commandments.

They are taking people's money, based on the fraudulent claim that Ellen was a true prophet. (stealing)

Next, if she's speaking as the spirit of God, she's kind of the God of your reality. (they have accepted another God)
