I just purchased this same AC unit and I have the same blinds as you do. Can you show me a pic of how you trimmed the bottom of the blind to make it go between the window and unit?

I just installed mine yesterday and didn't think the installation was hard at all. The only "hard" part is making the foam blocks fit. The bracket takes a few screws and the arms are easy to level. Once the bracket is in the unit sits on top without worry about it falling. And yes it is quiet. I turned it on and all you hear is a soft fan, more like a computer fan. And once it cools it maintains the temp even quieter.

Did you modify the outside bracket "feet" by removing the "shoes"? Seemed to be resting against the pointed ends of the angles. Or maybe the shoes were just folded somehow.

Hi. I’m having a custom made radiator window seat and was considering buying this A/C. I hope you are willing to answer a few questions. 1. What size room is this and the A/C BTU unit you are using. In hindsight would you get a larger BTU unit? 2. How many inches deep is the inner window A/C unit? 3. The wood board the plant is on looks likes a window seat, how many inches deep is it? Thanks.

Noise doesn't bother me, I sleep with a fan running year-round, I hate a quiet room. My house have the crank casement window, had to modify one of my window screen with a plexi glass and wrap a screen around my exhaust to keep the insect out of my outlet tube, I'm happy and sleep good on a hot night

I’m new to window ac’s, is it ok to leave the door open that the unit is in or should the door remain closed while the unit is running? It’s in a bedroom that’s roughly 250 sq. ft.

You're correct I remove mine 8 months out of the year so it wouldn't be worth the hassle
