I was raised in this crap until becoming an atheist around the age of 19-20. Orthodoxy is what brought me back to Faith, and is the only, One, True Faith! My wife, daughter, and I were all received into the Church via Baptism and Chrismation on December 19th of last year. Coincidentally - or perhaps by divine plan - the same day we started dating four years prior. Glory to God in the Highest! ☦️

This is a much needed video! Soft messianic Judaism is even bleeding into evangelicalism

Those who say the one true Church has ever gone & corrupted, basically vanished but then "rediscoverd, " then they're insulting Jesus & saying that Jesus is a liar. Remember that Jesus said not even death will ever be able to overcome The Church.

I have 3 co-workers who follow Messianic Judaism, they claimed that Easter and Christmas were pre-Christian pagan practices. I told them that even if that is true, Christ took them and turned them Christian just as Christ took the Gentiles and reverted them to Christianity.

I was raised in this sect, and at my age of 19 i decided to become Orthodox after thoroughly studying orthodoxy and knowing that i was following a Heretic sect. This year, now 20 yo, I was baptized in the ROCOOR under the name of Nikodimos.

Im not a Messianic Jewish person, but I gotta contest some of your points

1.) SUNDAY WORSHIP
1. Acts 20 is not says nothing about the Lord's Sabbath being changed to Sunday, Paul and the disciples broke break everyday (Acts 2:46)
2. Corinthians 16:1 is talking about collecting alms. This would have been done on Sunday in order to NOT break the Sabbath. So Ironically if anything, this shows that Paul actually kept the Sabbath.
More proof is in Acts 17: 1-2 Show that Paul was still teaching in Synagogues on the SABBATTH specifically, AS WAS HIS MANER. meaning he normally did this wherever he went. Acts 18:4 also says the same.

2.) CHRISTMAS AND EASTER
You have no scripture to show that Paul, the disciples, or anyone righteous kept Christmas or Easter in the DECADES they continued to live.
We DO see that Paul continued to keep the biblical feast in Acts 18:21
Christmas and Easter are continuation of ancient pagan tradition. The ealr "Christians" held on to them after "converting" from paganism. I would recommend looking into the book "The two Babylons'' to get an in-depth breakdown of this history. I will also reference Jeremiah 10: 1-5

My mother loved the messianic churches, we would attend the feast of tabernacles, which was really fun as a kid. And the worship services were fun because you could wave different flags and use a bunch of instruments like tambourines.

Do others stick to context? He pulls certain verses out of context. He doesn't explain certain scriptures but repeats talking pointa from others.

Saturday worship is still the REAL day of worship, because the 10 commandments say “remember the seventh day to keep it holy”

Great one! when i found out about yt chanel „Jews for Jesus" i fell in love with the content, never judging them for not being orthodox but happy that they at least learned about Chist. Then somehow i saw a video about the founder of JFJ, James Bernstein, who after many many many years of being a mesianic Jew, found about orthodoxy and joined the church. He then became a priest ofcours, because he was zeal in truth. Can you do some more research about him and his work, and try to figure it out why didnt everyone follow him after he discovered a church. Thanks for your time and effort, much love from Serbia and orthoSerbs 🇷🇸☦💜

Messianic Jew here, it's strange. Some of us do communion and other sacraments, some of us don't. All congregations are different. Some are more Jewish, some aren't. I've been looking into Orthodoxy and it seems closer to the ancient faith of the prophets than whatever the heck Messianic Judaism is. Pray for me.

People confuse messianic Judaism with messianic Jews. You can be Jewish (ethnically) and be a Christian, without being a religious Jew, how do I know this? Because I am myself from ethnically Jewish, but I am a Christian. It is also OK to celebrate the feasts that are recorded in scripture that are considered Jewish feast because they are not Jewish feast. The Bible describes them as the feast of God and much like communion the Seder meal, or the feast of trumpets, or the feast of Tabernacle, or feast to honor Godand we’re done by the disciples of that time

There’s so much wrong with this video. The theology of Messianic Judaism is so much greater than what is described here. The entire early church was Messianic Judaism. They were Jews.

A good friend of mine (who is Orthodox btw) said this, “When you revert to Judaism, you crucify Christ again and again.”

Matthew 5:17-18
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

I think the reason the whole Hebrew Roots/Torah Observant movement has thrived in Protestant circles is because it speaks to that part of us who recognized the shallow nature of Protestant worship and life.

Protestantism is akin to starting a video game like Skyrim, but it’s been modded to skip you right to the final cutscene. You can only get so much fulfillment doing the side quests from that starting point, and if you think very much about what you’re doing after you’ve “won” too much you become more aware that you’re missing a lot.

HR offered itself as the missing main quest. It had sacraments in the form of feast days like Yom Kippur, Pesach, etc. It presented God as someone who expected a change in you after accepting Christ. It has a deep reverence for Scripture (albeit one twisted by false interpretations), and it gives the adherents a more concrete source of authority on what proper worship should look like in the vacuum created by modern rejection of Apostolic tradition and authority. The problem is that you quickly realize the sense of any cohesion created by these things is an illusion and that it’s more splintered than Protestantism could dream of. It’s taken the most stringent of the “solo” scriptura folks and given them what ultimately amounts to a massive chip on their shoulder, and heresies abound in that petridish.

I’d love to see you cover the whole HR thing in-depth at some point. From the outside, some folks think of it as being the same, but whereas MJ is a blending of rabbinical Judaism and evangelicalism, a lot of HR folks hold things like rabbinic tradition and evangelicalism in contempt. It’s the movement that’s really got a foothold in modern Christianity, as it appeals almost exclusively to non-Jews.
