My Dad was Jewish and a Roman Catholic Convert. Mom was Irish Catholic (RC) they got divorced and I gave my life to Christ. I was raised Roman Catholic till 9 then I gave my life to Christ and at 17 I joined a Christ following Swedish Baptist Church. I have never been "Jewish" because the Jews (My Cousins) never considered my Jewish, even though we are all related and I have Jewish Grandparents, Cousins and great Uncles and Aunts. I have always thought of myself as a Christian and not a messianic Jew but my life and Messianic Jews lives to intersect, and I have lots of Messianic Jews for Friends. I wear a start of David with a Cross and Jews ask me and I tell them I'm a follower of Christ and I'm a Paternal Jew. Keep up the good work guys....

As an Israeli Jewish believer in Yeshua living overseas, personally to be called a Messianic Jew/believer annoys me : Gentiles are christians and i am Messianic ??? such nonsense, and in my opinion divisive. The word "christianos" is mentioned 3 times in the New Testament, Jews - Paul and Peter- talking to other Jews making the emphasis that now they are followers of Christ/ of the long awaited Mashiach, not "regular" Jews anymore, now christians- and thus have a measure added to them which makes them to see themselves and need to behave differently. Over time/ history the word Christians has become synonym with Gentiles as if having nothing to do with Jews, which is completely false !!!! ( i need to look up the references...) It drives me bunkers !!!!
