Sync 2 to Sync 3 Upgrade! Install and Review on 2013 - 2016 F250 plus Wireless Apple CarPlay

This mod is the best "convenience" mod that anyone can do to a vehicle that has Sync 2. It allows you to utilize Fords upgraded software for entertainment and use Sync 3 which is used in 2017 - 2022+ vehicles.

This install was in a 2016 F250 Lariat, and was very simple. Took about an hour and a half with recording and explaining everything. Anyone with simple tools can do this upgrade in their driveway. I have been using the Sync 3 now for a couple of months with no problems, and I can say that when driving in larger cities and using Apple or Google maps it helps a lot.

I would say the Sync 3 upgrade by itself would have a 10/10 rating, and the Ottocast would have an 8/10 as sometimes you have to unplug it and reset it, but this is not a big deal.

I'm considering upgrading my Sync2 to anything that could handle Android Auto with the preference of running Waze, and Sync3 is one of the options besides Tesla-style screens, which, based on my research, could be more reliable and have lots of issues.
