I think SYNC 2 has got a bit of character ... she's taking this fellow to one of the restaurants he did not select ... and he was so impressed with "the technology" he didn't read what she was telling him. Or may be she couldn't understand his very odd accent?!

I'm considering a Focus with Sync II but most of the things demonstrated on this video are, to me, pointless. The UI looks quite laggy compared to my current setup of a 5.5-inch Android smartphone for satnav/Spotify, I rarely need to change the climate control from 21 degrees and if I do, do I need to speak it instead of turning a knob?

The navigation looks clunky (low-res) and laggy, and does it have a way of getting real time traffic information from Google, Navteq or others? I guess not.

I'd very much like to know how much of the Sync II functions I can actually disable, and if I keep the car for 5 years or more, goodness knows how more out of date it's going to look then.

Please Ford, and others, stop trying to develop your own systems that are virtually out of date before they're launched. I most certainly don't want to have to learn specific commands either, and expect most people don't now they've probably used things like Cortana, Siri and Google Now.

However, well done on still making great cars!

as a commercial traveller ;i have a focus 3 with the ford navi and its pretty clueless and hard to set up, it also makes mistakes and lags behind the driven road, the postcodes dont work and you have to be 100 pct spot on with the address as there is no intuition built in
i also have a tomtom that cost me 120 eur and that works like a dream
so on a long run i always take the tomtom
go figure
