I have to replace a Sync 3 APIM with out Navigation that I bricked with a newer Sync 3 APIM with Navigation. I have watched lots of videos about this process and by far this is the best I have seen. Every other video I would pause and go back thinking "What did they just do". I now have no doubt I can do the upgrade with out breaking any plastic tabs off or ruining any connectors. Great video this is exactly what I’ve been looking for, I just bought a 15 ford edge sel it comes with sync 2 and I’ve been wanting to upgrade to sync 3 for apple car play. I have a couple questions, is this just a sync 3 head unit that you swapped ? Also I wanted to know if all of your original functions still work properly like climate control reverse camera etc.

I have an issue with my sync 3.
I've tried to update to newer version and and it was more than 3 hours updating ..i had to go, because it was more time than expected and i unplug the USB before finishing.On the next day the screen was okay.. showing that Update Successefully installed, then turned off and never turned on...The USB is not working anymore..i tried to remove the fuse 67, ,power button with >>, the + from the battery, nothing works...The radio works, , i just cannot change the stations, Wi-FI works as well, during the night the screen is not completle black there is a light behind...
Obviously there was an issue installing properly..my question is it possible to update from computer somehow, if USB is not working.... or what how to solve this issue?
