The calculation of the hours is not even close. My experience is more like A1 - 100, A2 - 200, B1 - 400, B2 800, C1 1600, C2 3200.... I tracked every hour, most of these hours are watching / listening reading. I'm at 2136 hours and I think I'd have a good chance at passing C1 with some exam practice. Good luck if you think you'll be C2 in a few hundred hours, not even close. I don't know why people spread these myths. People underestimate how hard each level is. Also, getting a 55/100 vs a 90/100 both might pass but those people do not have the same ability. Keep that in mind.
