Over the past decade, the kettlebell swing has grown to be one of the all-time favorite exercises in functional training and Crossfit.

It's a great exercise that promotes:
🫁🫀 Cardiorespiratory fitness
💪🏻 Posterior chain strengthening
🧨 Explosiveness and power
🧠 Neuromuscular control

The movement in itself isn't too complex, but it does require focus and an appropriate
technique.
❌ One of the most common mistakes we see is starting the movement by raising the arms (shoulder flexion) instead of hinging the hips (hip extension).
This mistake shifts the focus from the hamstrings and glutes to the anterior deltoid.

✔️ What you should do is extend your hips forward forcefully all the way through to get your arms going.
The kettlebell swing is a ballistic movement. Your arms act as a cable, and your hips generate the ballistic power.

Look at the shoulders. In the correct form the swing comes from hip movement. In the incorrect form the swing comes from the shoulders.

Guys look at the knees height difference with the kettlebell. Today I thought I did the correct form but turns out I did just like the one on right. Left uses hips while right uses shoulders

Just play chicken with the bell and keep that vertical plank while the bell is going down. Until you feel contact between your arms and your thigh... then hinge. That's what they showing you.

Looks to me like the work is being done by the tiny muscle in the shoulder when it’s done wrong but done right with the hips leading the big muscles in the backs of the legs so the work instead and there’s more power?
