Classic + with cata/retail graphics on/off option - Caverns of time, Scarlet raid, m+, sod runes as abilites scaled down, ranked bg's, arena's and we got ourselfs A GAME

classic + no addons please and more territory. no flying mounts please. free talent change at any time please. etc make it wow 2 but in classic wow feeling. Also please add world pvp, zone points that you must defend or something to control the territory and some perks in the region??

I hope they do a classic plus. I have liked SOD for the most part. I agree, I hate the BRM event. its horrible to be a low level and get killed multiple times trying to get to BRD. I've never played on a PVE server and generally like PVP but I have hated it in SOD. PVP is basically who can blow their CD first wins. People have too many stuns and burst damage. I'd roll on an PVE sever if they do it again and choose to participate in PVP when I want to.

Classic+ I'd like to see melee Hunters or a viable Hunter Tank build, where the hunter focus' more on building aggro onto his pet, rather than full DPS.

After the fun additions the SoD runes systems has brought to the table, I can't see a Classic+ where the classes and specs are more or less Vanilla with just slight tweaks or buffs.
I agree that the power level should be scaled back some and the leveling journey should take a "classic" amount of time and effort, but I would really want a fresh take on the classes, specs and possibly roles. Hell, I'd even be up for new races and classes where they made sense and if they kept to the "classic" design focus.

regular vanilla season after sod ends then another season just building upon sod with more content. have a sod era realm that adds future season content at the end of every season. i dont really care about what our power lvl is at aslong as we stay lvl 60 add runes to every slot and have several different options for every slot. also have some runes drop from raids

There are so many good private servers right now that I really question the point of anything but a completely new WOW 2.0.
Modern visuals, all the qol changes, old school leveling + options (let me choose how I want to level, even turn off XP), revamped races and classes that matter, maybe even racial differences in classes. Have an actual plan for how expansions would work with players that come in late, not to mention storytelling.
Free to play, finance over extra purchases alone.

Classes in SoD are so fun to play. I would hate going back to a Era style paladin.

I wish there was more interactive play between players. For example, in league of legends you will have certain heroes that can do a certain high dmg ability to an enemy if that enemy is in the air. Others will have a knock up ability, and so, you have to coordinate the knock up so the other player can do their air strike ability. Similarly, I wish there was more interactive play like this. A druid casting innervate on a healer, or a shaman placing a decoy totem on a tank, those are good. Wildstrikes on Druids for example is a step in the wrong direction imo. The Druid goes into cat form, Boom, gives everyone Windfury, and then does his rotation 8-9 times until the boss dies. At least when the shaman was giving windfury he has to move the totems and refresh them every two minutes… wow needs to move in that direction. You want to distinguish gamers from the dads. This is why everyone is constantly hopping on a new alt, and eventually just gets burned out, because there isn’t enough gameplay for your main.

I’d also like to see them find ways to keep lower level dungeons relevant. Letting them drop reals seems like the easiest solution, but I’d even make it so that in order to get attuned for LBRS/UBRS, you first have to run a full BRD, etc. I tried running a Mara for my thrash blade on an alt recently and it took hours to get a group together.

And for the love of god, please activate summoning stones. I wouldn’t do LFG because you do want people traveling the open world, but why can’t 2 or 3 people summon someone in Undercity to Silithus. We’re doing that anyway, by paying all these stupid warlock bots for summons.

I’m assuming they will build Classic plus on a new server platform? If so, I’d do away with some of the runes and just make those abilities baseline. The AOE abilities in particular come to mind. I hate having to equip carve in place of my single target rune every time I see 3 or more mobs. Just make carve baseline.

I think classic plus will just be SoD with some polish. I don’t see them rolling back runes after we’ve seen how fun this content is with them.

I agree that you ask 1000 people what they want and you’ll get 1000 answers. But I feel like boiling it down you get people in 2 groups. People who just want OG classic, but with some new content past Naxx and people who want to play in the classic world, but with properly functioning classes.

I can see them releasing both of these versions in tandem with each other.

I’d love them to continue with SoD. Try out making some new raids at 60 and then move on to TBC SOD. But with it being a seasonal server I think they’d struggle to shoehorn in a cash shop now, so a fresh SOD with a new name is what they’ll go for

The thing is that we will never EVER have th classic '05-'08 experience. It's impossible.All of us who played during that time knows what to do now. We also have add ons that tell us what to do. The real "classic" experience will never be had again. Specially since you got super nerds rushing through the content and then get bored 3 months later after clearing everything. The only way I see classic give us new experience is by having raids be seasonal, so we dont have everyone in bis the first 6 weeks.

Yeah I really think they just need to redo the talent trees and add the “new” zones you mentioned. Ya know make +defense translate to Ap/Sp deep talents for tanks so protect warriors use shields and not dual wield ect. Make the survival tree not useless for hunters, change all the warlock talents that are thematically broken like demonic sacrifice (your best pet is the one you kill yourself after-all). Even demonic pact is kinda janky. The class with infinite mana steals mana from their pets.. maybe warlocks are just pet hating a-holes. Oomkins and ferals need PETA backing them, and idc what esfand says pallys can’t tank, but they wear plate. It’s a huge win having all the class diversity in sod I just hope they can take that forward with out breaking too much.
