Blizzard put its power in wrong places. Instead of making 500 new runes they could have added only what that class missed to be viable and they should have put their resources in building new zones, quests, raids, events...

What really upset me in 2019 classic is everyone wanted it... then treated it like retail with this mad push up to 60, forgot the journey is the point and formed groups to boost through dungeons. I remember thinking classic was a waste of time

The sad thing is that there’s still plenty of interest for a Classic+ but as with everything Blizzard needlessly resist catering to what the majority want or are looking for and when those players seek an experience elsewhere (private servers, etc.) Blizz are intent on penalising those people. Those players aren’t going to return to Classic for half measures, if you’re going to do a Classic+, go full force on it, instead of some half measure like SoD.

Why does blizzard not create anything new? Do they have any employees working for them anymore? What do their employees even do anymore? They've got so many people that want classic+ and yet they refuse to do what their fans want.

This is good to hear. I’m only concerned about a repeat of boosting, gold sellers and bots. I don’t know the future but I’m willing to bet Blizzard will not police these issues.

The only way of Vanilla + is still Turtle WoW's servers. I have it settled then, that's where I'm going and where I can enjoy vanilla wow which suits my preferences.
Perhaps one day, blizzard will wake up from their long slumber.

They've said so many times that SoD server will stay up and our SoD characters will stay on those servers

HC servers need to implement still allowing deaths in BG's so many people want to play HC but also play bg's.

That's perfectly fine. We don't need an experience boost, we don't need the abilities, and we certainly don't need any of the god awful PvP events.

I share your sentiment. But I just don't see Blizzard making Classic+ like Turtle WoW. You can see in everything that it is not going to happen. All development goes to Retail. Undermined (looks great btw) and player housing (even more store items). That's where investments are made, because that's where the money is. Classic fresh and MOP are there to keep the old players busy, with minimal effort and costs. I'm currently leveling a priest on Turtle WoW, the recent changes to the talent trees are awesome, disc smite priest!, a wand that returns mana, chastice, that's really fresh! I can't see me going back to Classic Era after I get used to that.

As a tbc and wrath lover I’m very disappointed I won’t have a version of the game to call home for at least another year. I don’t want to play vanilla again, especially not with any changes. Cata is sort of fun but I’ve quit the game after burn out of raiding 6 months of t11 heroic and my guild dying. Guess I’ll probably level something on these new servers just to wait for tbc😢

4) 1 real tank class
5) black lotus mafia
6) swipe of gtfo
7) world buffs
8) griefing
9) people looking for ways to skip levelling asap so they can enjoy raids with mechanics like “don’t stand in bad sh*t” or “stand in good sh*t”

It makes no sense to me to make a third Hardcore server and have it not progress into TBC. Hardcore is only mildly popular with a select group, but its getting yet another vanilla server? This splits that community into just the same exact thing. Hardcore already has built in refreshing, when you die. It should have been a progression server to TBC.

The main reason Classic is so fun is that it's old Blizzard that made it (pretty much). New modern Blizzard isn't the same company, not even close and therefore likely aren't able to create something as special. It's sad but that's the reality. It's why I usually play any new fresh classic servers, it's just fun. Would Classic+ be amazing if it was the original developers making it, absolutely (I think) but unfortunately that company/group is long gone.
