All Upcoming Fresh Servers EXPLAINED - WoW Classic

Tomorrow we're getting not one, not two but THREE different fresh servers for Classic WoW. Let's dive in into all the differences and which one you should choose.

Just a quick note, per the blue post no transfers off PVP servers....On these new Anniversary realms, transfers will be unavailable (except for transfers to a Normal realm for Hardcore characters). Normal realm characters must remain on Normal realms, and PvP realm characters will be locked to PvP realms. On Hardcore realms, should players wish to transfer either dead or living characters to a Normal realm, they will be able to do so. There is no way to transfer back to Hardcore realms.

1:45 blizzard has said you won't be able to transfer whatsoever. Even PVP -> PVE.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between Anniversary, Classic Era, and Seasonal servers and their purpose?

started playing wow on a pvp server many years ago. not that bad really. pretty crowded and certain maps can be very very active.

PvP is not anymore on my radar for incoming versions since 2019 and how rigged was phase 2.. I care for two things... clear content (still can do top results even if play on PvE realm and there are guilds who actually switching due to better economy) and second thing is to have a chill and productive time when come home from work or have limited time sessions.. and not need to worry about parking myself near guards and in main city or just stay in login screen to not find myself dead all time I get back.. PvP realms are not the type thats used to be.

How does getting more honor give you an advantage?

I have always played on pvp servers. This time though, learning from my 2019 experience, I will be going to pve server. My time is worth to much to spend what little free time I have getting ganked in the name of World PVP. Ive seen a few polls that show quite a few people are going pve this time round. Most likely for the same exact reason, pvp is fun, one sided fights/ ganking is not fun.

Afaik, blizz said that the honour ranking system wont be introduced untill phase1 kicks in with wg, molten core and onyxia. That being said ill play PvP server. Ive always played on them and for me thats part of the game, without it its not the same and i like to pvp. Also you can always transfer if you dont like it, where in pve you cant if you change your mind.

PVE, though I wish we had an RP-PVE realm. There's plenty of in game events there but its usually around socializing. Why PVE? Same reason for everyone else, I don't find it fun when a handful of higher levels are locking down a quest zone.

im having the hardest time deciding i wanna play for the long run as i started playing in battle for azeroth i dont mind occasionally getting into a pvp fight but id also like to not be killed over and over again by that lvl 60 who has nothing better to do than kill low lvls (id also like to get the pvp mounts if there in classic)

PVE. Cuz getting ganked over and over again by some bored jerk gets so very old. I want to *enjoy* the world, not be stuck in dungeons. And yes, HC to start for sure.

"While the ability to transfer characters between realms of different rulesets isn't available for PvE and PvP realms, Hardcore characters can transfer to non-Hardcore Normal PvE Anniversary realms, so feel free to revive your un-alived characters on Normal PvE Anniversary realms after your transfer." - Blizzard

The only realm you can xfer from is hardcore > PVE. You've never been able to xfer from PVP to regular. So choose wisely.
