If you are in a defined benefit pension plan, you don't have any fears because that is your new monthly "paycheck". Unfortunately, if all you have is social security and some savings, the future is terrifying.

I had to retire due to a work related injury. I was close to retirement anyway about 5 more years to go. As long as you receive income, it doesn’t have to be earn income or a paycheck. My life style is different now and I just made adjustments where needed. I love being retired and praise Yahuah everyday because I’m alive long enough to retire. Who knew I would LOVE not working. In my case, a paycheck was not my main concern, my health was. You can’t buy good health. So now I can focus on me and my health and not work. It’s a beautiful life. Oh, it’s been 4 1/2 years since I retired. I have one of those A1 personalities where I always have to be doing something. My injury caused me to be still and taught me to rest. Shalom
