John McCarthur is one of the best pastors there will ever be. He preaches the Gospel as it was meant to be heard.

MacArthur's book "The Truth War" is a gem. Highly recommend reading it.

See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid. St. ignatius disciple of John.

I'm so glad your denomination came along 18 centuries later to explain how all the other Christians before you were heretics.

If John was a true Calvinist, John would know that there is no way to know if you are elect or not. He cannot be sure that he is elect. There is no way to know if someone is 'saved or not. Catholics have the sacraments so they can reasonably know how to be saved.

"They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death in the midst of their disputes."
— Epistle to the Smyrnaeans, Saint Ignatius of Antioch, 110 A.D.

According to protestants, there was no Church until Martin Luther finally "reformed" it. The Apostles didn't believe what protestants believe, the Church fathers didn't believe what protestants believe, archaeological evidence points towards Catholicism. That means Martin Luther is, in fact, according to protestants, the true lord and savior.

Let that sink in.

Your horns are showing. You might want to shave them down 😏😂😂😂. We are the true church 1.28 BILLION strong. No doubt the church has gone through issues but we overcome that. We are a unity of love. Prayers ❤🙏📿✝️

I grew up in the Methodist Church and went a a charismatic church for a few years. Now I go to an Independent Bible Church where the pastors and elders lead. No high and mighty bishop or pope. We're a solid biblical church that preaches right out of the bible. I'm not going to switch to Catholicism, but this video had a lot of valid points. I don't like the concept of denominations, I left the Methodist Church right before it got really progressive. God Bless you and thank you for sharing.

“Sense of false unity is causing some to be driven towards Roman Catholicism”

Protestants who convert to the Catholic faith often do so because they realise the early church resembles the Catholic Church and not Protestantism, especially not Evangelicalism.

John MacArthur’s baptist views on soteriology, ecclesiology and especially the sacraments, are not found in the Church Fathers.

The Catholic Church was there from the beginning

Christians must unite under one body. It is okay to have disagreements, but choosing to separate and start a new church is heretical. The bible was never the ultimate authority throughout Church history. Christians must understand that we don't leave by the book alone. We must also accept Church tradition and the Magisterium's interpretation of the scripture.
