I have to thank John MacArthur. He is one of the reasons I am converting to Catholicism. He played a big role. Thank you Mr. MacArthur!

I seriously can’t believe I used to be a Calvinist. Utter insanity

Its very simple: I have never heard of a single Catholic that has become a Protestant by reading the Church Fathers; but I have read of many Protestants that have become Catholic because they have read the Church Fathers.

What’s so sad about this is that some Catholics do not know the richness of their Faith so ithey become fertile ground for these heretics who give them an easy way out.

I love how Mr. MacArthur makes it sound like Baptists are unified but there are 15 or 20 different Baptist denominational in America alone. 241 baptist denominations around world.

Fantastic rebuttal Trent! Former Calvinist MacArthur junky- now in full communion with the Church. No regrets.

Even as a Protestant I never understood the idolization of MacArthur.

I am not a Catholic yet. John MacArthur lights a fire to get me to hurry up. How smug he is with self-appointed authority.

I remember in my Protestant days the only information I got about the Catholic Church was by anti-Catholics. Once I actually looked into Catholicism and ALOT of it was by the help of the Catholic Answers podcast and articles you really see the beauty of THE Church

Calvinism never made sense, even before I became Catholic.

Mac Arthur and every other Calvinist cannot prove they were “predestined” to Heaven.

Ah, John MacArthur, I've never heard someone sound so sure of himself without giving one shred of evidence for their claims. Especially when all he makes appeals to sources that if actually observed would decimate his claims in under a minute. This is a great video.

Sometimes I wonder how Christendom was able to survive for 2000 years before men like MacArthur and Mike Winger came along to set us straight on the finer points of doctrine and dogma.

What’s sad, soooo many people listen to him and people like him about what Catholicism even is. I wish everyone would stop listening to non Catholics about what we believe... they ALWAYS get it wrong.

MacArthur also claims that the Bible gives no support for Peter having been in Rome. Yet First Peter says he writes through Sylvanus from Babylon. Now MacArthur says Rome is Babylon, at least he does when he’s interpreting Revelations. Yet mysteriously and quite conveniently Babylon isn’t Rome in 1 Peter, that is, it isn’t for MacArthur. God bless. P.S that’s from a comment from ARE CATHOLICS SAVED by MacArthur.
Edit: Macarthur claims there is no indication that Peter had anything to do with Rome (paraphrase) at the 1 hour mark of “Are Catholics Saved”

One of the most offensive things Macarthur says is that being a Catholic is a "damnable" belief- meaning he believes that all the Christians before the reformation are in hell.

So glad you decided to talk about MacArthur. As bad as Mike Winger is, at least he hasn't implied that Catholics are unsaved unlike MacArthur

Excellent, l rejected McArthur directly. He thinks he is even more than a Protestant Pope.

Double predestination and PST were always stumbling blocks for me as an evangelical. Grateful God drawing me home this year and for the glorious truth of the Catholic Church!
