What I've learned in other fields of work is that too much competition can hinder your earnings. The more that work that field, the lower rates firms are willing to pay. We get used to a certain fee. It's hard to accept when the fee decreases. It won't matter how great you are in the field once it gets over saturated. Many people will come in and are willing to accept far lower fees because they don't realize the cost of what we do.

Great video my man! Any advice for which firms to put myself on after I get my FL license? I hope the course I will be taking teaches me a lot because even though I am a civil engineer, I am nervous I do not know enough about structures and will sound stupid in this field. I am also only 26. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am subscribing right now!

Hello Laine! Thank you for your video. I’m a Florida Resident and currently have my All Lines Adjusters License 6-20 I love the property industry as I have worked for a TPA now over 3 years I in fact train our newer colleagues that come aboard with us on Xact Analysis, (Claims Connect aka CoreLogic/Symbility) you probably have heard of XA but maybe not so much of CoreLogic. Anyhow, I have not yet actively worked with my adjusters license but ready to pursue it. I have been looking for good beginners training for Xactimate in fact my company provides some of them but I have not come across a good beginners one yet. Do you have any suggestions for a “beginner” but with experience (if that makes any sense at all) on where I can begin? Learn how to write estimates etc.? Thank you again for the post!!

A lot of companies were offering only 65% for Ian. I was disappointed I was expecting 70%. Is this a company you have been working with for a while? One of the bigger firms or a smaller one? I came from being a staff adjuster w over 5 year experience in property. I only accepted 65% because we were really slow and I was desperate. Next time I’m only accepting 70%.
