I’m a desk adjuster. I handle commercial liability claims. I was also a personal auto/property desk adjuster prior to this. Getting licensed will give you endless opportunities. You can NOT go wrong choosing this career path. Especially if you aren’t degreed. Becoming licensed gives you the power to either work from home/ a desk/ in the field/ or go into business for yourself. With insurance being a requirement for nearly everything we see, why wouldn’t someone pursue a career in it? It is here to stay!

Im 50 years old, I've been working in finance behind a desk for over a decade... I need to get out from behind this desk, I want to travel, I want to be outside, I want to meet and help people, and I also want to take care of my family.... I think I'm ready to take the leap. Thank you for the insight, Ebahi, I am inspired.

First off amazing video! I did not know once I obtain Florida or Texas licenses and pass the course in class I wouldn’t have to keep taking tests for the south eastern licenses. Just pay the fees and keep up with it.

Thank you again

I’ve just been furloughed due to covid and someone mentioned this line of work to me. Of course I came to YouTube university!! And so happy to have found your channel. So informative. Quick question - how did you end up in this profession?

Started as a drone pilot and scan tech getting photos of damage, then I learned XM8 and started sketching for PA’s. Now I’m here looking to become a Claims Adjuster… There’s levels to this that are great and lots of financial benefits!

I took an online course. It was pretty difficult. Lots of memorization. I did like the fact that I could do it in my own time. I just kept reviewing the quizzes. And there was no video. It was all reading. I would recommend checking that before you buy a course, if you have a preference. It took me just under 4 weeks. I took the test and passed the first time. The problem I noticed was that it was a virtual class. No live teacher. When you have to ask a question, you have to e-mail someone and wait. I think if I did it again, I'd carve out the 4 days and do it live in a class.
