I am a black woman married to an awesome, sweet, caring, kind, loving, smart, hard working, and fine as hell Mexican man, I have never seen such a beautiful and kind race of people❤I will always love the culture and the kind hearts. I feel more welcomed and comfortable there than here in the USA and I'm currently working on my Mexican citizenship❤

Both my parents are from Oaxaca, I’m brown skinned but I was always told by other people I didn’t look “Oaxacan” I believe it’s because most people have a stereotype and think we all look 100% indigenous but we come in different shapes, tones and forms. Proud Oaxacan here, love my background and culture.

I received a message from God to leave my home in South Carolina, to go as far away as possible and to pack as if I would not return for a very long time. I came to Mexico and was embraced by the people here from the moment I arrived. I am blessed to be so protected, so accepted, to be loved, to live amongst and to learn the truth about Spirituality from such a special, diverse culture. Thank you, I am eternally grateful. Viva La Mexico 🇲🇽

I’m 26, 1st gen 🇲🇽🇺🇸, my dads side of the family are native Wixárikas from the Wixáritari Nation, one of Mexicos untouched people due to La Sierra Madre terrains, carbon dating from our sacred fire pits proves we’ve been here for 15, 000+ years,

And don’t forget the Spanish people came to Mexico with a mixture of DNA background. The mixture of many backgrounds didn’t happened in Mexico, the Spanish already had many in their blood when they arrived!

As of 2024, Mexico’s population is approximately 129.4 million.

Genetic studies indicate that the average Mexican has a higher proportion of Native American ancestry compared to European ancestry. A 2015 meta-analysis reported an average genetic composition of 62% Native American, 32% European, and 6% African.

It’s important to note that these proportions can vary significantly across different regions of Mexico. For instance, individuals in northern states may exhibit higher European ancestry, while those in southern regions often have a greater proportion of Native American heritage. Additionally, socioeconomic factors can influence these genetic compositions, with studies suggesting a correlation between higher European admixture and higher socioeconomic status.

Overall, while there is considerable regional and individual variation, on average, Mexicans have a greater proportion of Native American ancestry compared to European ancestry.
