In today’s video I’m going to share with you the three steps to overcome hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease. I’ll walk you through the top diet, supplements, and natural treatments to do so. Hypothyroidism is technically an autoimmune form of Hashimoto’s Disease, where your body is attacking itself and causing issues with the thyroid. What a lot of people don’t realize is that all disease begins in the gut. So, if you want to fix your thyroid, you need to heal your gut first. There’s a specific diet and specific supplements to take to heal leaky gut.

Regarding your diet, going gluten free and grain free for a total of 90 days will improve hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s. Make sure when you do start consuming grains, you consume sprouted grains. Also add lots of organic vegetables, fruits, bone broth, and organic meats, which are all easy on your gut. You also want to include probiotic-rich foods in your diet like kefir. You want to avoid fast food, excess sugar, and gluten. This diet is similar to the GAPS diet.

Secondly, you want to get specific supplements to improve your hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease. You want to consume selenium, ashwaghanda, and Vitamin B12.

Additionally, making sure you’re detoxing your body, getting rid of silver fillings, and switching to natural cleaning and personal care products.

Hypothyroidism and adrenal stress (high cortisol) are synergistically related...the more stress/cortisol the lower the thyroid function.   Remove the stress then the thyroid generally improves.  I agree about the Ashwaghanda herb but this mainly helps the adrenal support.   Vitamin D is also vital as well as selenium for thyroid hormone conversion. Sea kelp can also help as it is a more natural form of iodine

Makes so much since now. Im 13 weeks postpartum and i was given 2 rounds of antibiotics with my c section delivery of my newborn. I was googling postpartum thyroid issues and the point you make about gut health. That is the most valid point. Antibiotics ruin gut health..that i was eating tons of homemade wheat tortillas and lots of careot cake. Gluten! Very crazy. Im starting my day now with bone broth salt and great lakes collagen powder. Wish me luck.

What is most interesting is what a general food panel IgG can tell you along with blood work. I expected to be deficient in things such as D hormone & Iodine but that was not the case. I did not expect to be sensitive to dairy and yeast of all things. This is why it's so important to work with an Natural Health care practitioner. They can usually complete the puzzle.

I'm vegan and just found out I'm borderline hypothyroidism. Having another test done soon, but seeing if I up my b12, iron, taking immune strengthening vitamins, kelp and reducing gluten and grain intake, caffeine and all processed foods will change my levels. I'm not keen on medication for the rest of my life.

I am so happy that there is a natural cure for hypothyroidism. My daughter takes levothyroxine forever and I'd love to get her free of those hormones! Should we start this diet while she's taking the thyroid medication? When we should to stop the medication? I would love to hear some advise. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for this informative video. I have hypothyroidism, leaky gut, Barrets esophogus. I do believe they are all connected to my stomach issues. Since learning about these medical conditions, I have made changes to my diet, and I use your live probiotic pills daily. Since my last blood work two weeks ago, my hypothyroidism has improved greatly. I also use Himalayan pink salt.
