General rule for plumbers where i live is glue in both fitting and the pipe. I feel the fitting just pushes all your glue out when you push the pipe in. Also ive never seen anyone sand cpvc pipe

How long does the glue take to cure and bond after application?

The cement isn't utilized to create a "glued" seal that's why it's called cement. Rather your trying to create pressure at the end point where the pipe fits into the fitting. The innermost point is what creates the seal in other words thus sanding the pipe will decrease the size of the diameter causing it to not properly seal. You will have more failures in the future.

I absolutely despise CPVC! Worst pipe to use for plumbing. Any freezing in the pipes will cause a lot of damage! PEX for everything!

That's is TOTALLY WRONG. Don't do what this video is telling you to do.

1. You must prime both the fitting and the pipe.

2. You must apply cement to BOTH the pipe AND the fitting.
