Cpvc (yellow glue) is made strictly for cpvc. Always make sure the solvent you use is for the pipe you use. Also Cpvc was the answer for a cheaper way to run hot water lines cpvc is rated for hot and cold water where pvc is only rated for cold water although pvc can withstand up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit it's not to be used for hot water lines. Another fun fact cpvc male and female plastic adapters are not rated for hot hot water altho cpvc/stainless or cpvc/brass is what you should use for hot water if one uses cpvc plastic male or females the temperature could cause the fitting to leak around threads thanks Rodger Wakefeild for all you show everyone keep up the work people need educated

Cpvc is the worst pipe ever invented it gets so brittle over time

We use one step glue for cpvc, here in Illinois.

The best advice is don’t use CPVC. No one carries it, it’s a disaster to work with, it’s brittle and doesn’t last etc etc etc.
