Just finished the entire 30 day beginner challenge, and I tell you what... I absolutely enjoy this beginner journey!! So grateful that I found YGA, because it has a detail and crystal clear explanation and learning structure, in-depth yet simple theory explanations, etc. Though I need more than 30 days to really master this beginner course, but I'm grateful for this beginner journey. I want to chime in with the rest of the folks here and express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart. I've been playing a week and then putting the guitar away for a year for about the past 15 years. Never really learning anything except most of the easy major/minor chords. Going through this course has been wonderful, admittedly I did skip a few lessons but I already knew the contents so did not need catching up. The timing aspect is wonderful and I never realized how playing to a backing track could be so helpful and allow me to just have fun. And theory...oh man I'm addicted to theory. From the first class starting to understand the fret board and scales, how to move scales, how to create my own chords anywhere on the neck...I'm like a kid in a candy shop. I'm in love with theory now and it is all thanks to you. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for this. I have a feeling I'm going to be playing consistently for a long time now.

Hey Dan and all of the YGA-team. I went through all 30 videos in 3 days now and it's awesome! I'm playing (electric) guitar for about 40 years now (with some breaks to do other stuff like percussion and brass) so people could think, why the heck is he doing that?

Well, as many can imagine, back in the days there was no internet, no videos, no Youtube. Even teachers were rare and pretty expensive. Pretty much of it was self taught with all the mistakes you can do because you don't know better. Breaking down songs from records and VHS tapes was the only way to learn songs. Sometimes song books (my first one was a Gary Moore song book and I was lost pretty often because the lack of the mandatory basics 😁). So I take the opportunity now to fix all of this mistakes and that includes videos like this ones.

It's so amazing to see that there are people like you offering such a great way to motivate young new players (and even older ones) to pick a guitar and start the never ending journey (because it is one). The learning curve ends in the coffin 😎 I'm going to start another of your series today. Here are 2 quotes from 2 of my all time guitar/music heroes:
