5Ghz Overclock On A $46 Cooler?!?!??

The Scythe Fuma Rev B is an amazing aircooler for the price! Pushing 5 Ghz on a core i5 3570k isn't easy and this twin tower 6 heatpipe design can actually handle it. I seriously recommend this as a budget solution for high end overclocking!

The Scythe FUMA (SCFM-1100) is definitely one of the best air coolers I have ever used (at least for the price). The fin density isn't as high as some of the other more expensive air coolers out there but you can't beat the results you get with this particular air cooler, for the money anyways. I put this cooler on an AMD FX 8320E and the revised version on an AMD Ryzen R5 2600. Both times I was able to get better than average results in terms of overclocking headroom. Plus the nickel plating really reflects light well for improved aesthetics if you're using RGB lighting. Highly recommended if you're on a budget! Just as a side note, I was able to fit 3 fans on this sucker with a PWM splitter so you can definitely keep even the most beastly of CPUs cool with this thing if you have room to work with in your case.

Nice to hear you give positive review and be excited on it. I like it when your honest on the reviews. Even when it’s negative. Good job Jimmy.

Is it better than a Thermalright Macho Rev. B though? very similarly priced where i live. Keeps my R5 1600 under 50 celsius with the fan on it

I have this cooler. Fans are actually pretty good. Installation is easy. Performance is a couple degrees hotter than a noctua d15 for half the price. The only weird thing about it is you have to pry the two fin stacks apart a little to get a fan in between them and the fan clips get caught on the fins when it's sliding into place. But it's a great buy for sure.

Scythe, thermalright, and prolimatech are very famous 90s-early 2000s CPU cooler brands, when Air coolers were King! Now AiOs are popular.

Hyper 212 Evo is the only tower cooler. *sits in fetal position rocks back and forth*

Hey Timmy, when you review a tower cooler, please consider including the height specification. Knowing if it fits in our cases is pretty important.

You did such a good job talking this one up Timmy Joe that it's currently unavailable on Amazon 👍

I also have an I5-3570k and wasn't willing to pay $80 for an air cooler. Now that i know that i can get one like this for way cheaper im going to get one thanks alot for this man it helps.

Just picked one up on Amazon for $46 for my new Ryzen 2600 build. As you said, great performance at a phenomenal price. Used the 212 EVO for years on my i5 4670k, another great value cooler but it just can't hang with the Fuma!

Welp, I'm Using a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B for my 1800X on 4, 2ghz, and it keeps it permanently under 50degree celsius, very good cooler for an amazing price!
