Have a water cooled i9-9900k with an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero. With this video I managed to jump up my CPU frequency from 3.6Ghz to 5.0Ghz. It helped get rid of a bottleneck on my PC performance.

Thank you so much!

You may remember me, I posted on more than 100 videos on Nov 30th last year my Threadripper 1900X @ 4.985GHz Lithium Hydroxide cooled CPU set 6 world records for "Fastest / Most Productive non-exotic cooled oct-core CPU ever recorded". My fastest R15 score was 2155. That man just OC'd his cpu using an air cooler and with all those services running he hit 2155 just as mine did. This is a monumental step forward. My record(s) have long since been broken, but this man just did it standing on his head, gargling peanut butter. I applaud you, sir.

I was at 5ghz and 1.35 running temps in the 80s on cinebench R20. I finally settled on 4.9 ghz and 1.25 volts which seems to make no difference in performance on X-plane but runs about 10C cooler. Also using a 15D cooler which actually works better than my old 240 aio.

Great video, thanks Roman. My 9900k passed with these settings at 80degreesC. Got a 360+240 Blackice radiator cooling my cpu and gpu.

Thanks! I’m happy with stable 5Ghz on my 9900k @ 1.25V. The package hasn’t gone past 85c yet. Running a Kraken x72 in a evolv x with the stock fans. This was on a Maximus XI Hero v0602. Silicon showed as 121% before the BIOS update.

I got the same results by just enabling Asus MCI & setting Vcore manually to 1.35, everything stable @5GHz temps 85c, cooler corsair 150i pro, m/b Asus H-gaming

EVGA Z390 Dark gonna be any good? I know you work with Asus, so blink once for yes, twice for no.

I’m testing the 9900K right now, 5.2 around 1, 35V is possible for daily, probably I have a good sample, over 5.3GHz it seems heating too much even with low vcore, not to bad anyway, tonight ai will push it with the cascade (-95°C) and we’ll see how far I can get. Great video as always, I will definitely use some of your advices, keep rocking!

I am building my new rig now with the Asus Maximus Hero XI, the 9900K, an EVGA 2080ti FTW3 vid card, and an EK custom water loop for the CPU. Can't wait 'til I finish the build!!

I run a i9 9900k with a Noctua NH-D15s (1x standard 140mm, 1x noctua 120mm, 140mm didn't fit) inside of the NZXT H500 case.

I run 5.1 Ghz at 1.29-1.30 volt (LLC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Master
Best cinebench R15 run: 2253
