Many of these songs didn't "get popular again" cause they never stopped being popular. ❤

Proud Gen X'er here. So glad I grew up with ALL this music. To be around when a lot of these songs hit the scene and to see they're STILL going just makes me feel so good. I mean, these songs needed to have other generations hear them. And I hope they're around for generations to come.

I just turned 50, and have a 28 year old, and 14 and 16 year olds. I LOVE the fact that this music is evergreen. Being able to share this with my kids and being able to make memories then and now… PRICELESS.

As a person who lived through the 80’s, I am happy to see that our music has lasted or re-emerged to give the younger generation a taste of our good music!

I would say that most of the songs listed here, didn't quite "get popular again"...they just never stopped being popular. These are literally classics!

"Never Ending Story" by Limahl got popular again thanks to "Stranger Things". I love how they used "Eye of the Tiger" in season 4 of Supernatural.

Careless Whisper is so misunderstood song. It's played in a lot of wedding parties, where neither the bride nor the groom understands the true meaning of the song, which is very obvious if you listen carefully to the lyrics. It's taken as a highly romantic song, thanks to the sax, whereas the song is actually about a really nasty and sad breakup. George Michael wrote it when he was 17! At that age he was capable of writing so deep song that you're left wondering what happened.

Born 4/75 and the 80's songs are still my favorites. I keep them on my play list and raised my girls on them ❤

I think with the massive resurgence of Running Up That Hill is the reason Kate Bush is finally being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year in the class of 2023. She’s deserved it for a long time and I’m glad she is finally getting her flowers. Thank you Stranger Things!

I'd put Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth" on this list. When Black Mirror was at it's most popular this song played in the episode "San Junipero" which is a lot of peoples favorite episode or in their top few. As someone who grew up in the 90s I didn't remember this song much, but it's now in my top 5, listen to it all the time, I assume others do too.
