"Karma Chameleon", "Tainted Love", "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)", "Push It", and "Celebration" all perfectly encapsulate that 80's style of music and will never not make me want to sing and dance along.

I was born in the mid 70s and saw the birth of MTV in 1981. It was simply beautiful on multiple levels. The short musical film, what MJ would call his music videos, for BILLIE JEAN was the first one to appear on MTV featuring a black artist. For me, it was all about MJ, Madonna and Whitney Houston for the majority of the decade. The very best event that hit MTV with the songs of the 80s was the 14min short musical film for MJ's song, THRILLER. It world premiered on MTV in December of 1983 and it was the best thing in the world. For me it was much better than watching any of the popular Saturday morning cartoons of that time period. To MJ, Whitney Houston and Michael Hutchins of INXS, may you all forever rest in blessed peace.

There was nothing better than being in your 20's in the 80's. Clubbing and dancing and just making it home in time to shower and head to work. Our motto was, "you can sleep when you're dead" 🤣 Thanks for this blast from the past. 🥰

Feeling old now, I graduated in the 80’s, fell in love and was married and had my first child in the 80’s. These were the songs of my life as a young woman. Thanks for the 😊

No Janet!? She had so many - What Have You Done For Me Lately, Nasty, Miss You Much, Rhythm Nation, Control. She at least deserves an honorable mention.

How is Footloose not on this list? I seriously cannot hear this song without breaking into dance! It's iconic and should be top 3

Undoubtedly "Billie Jean" has to be the first in the list, this song is simply perfect, MJ's vocals are impeccable and the rythm is flawless, I couldn't agree more with their picks. I loved the video BTW! Shout out from Brazil 🇧🇷

Lionel Ritchie’s “Dancing On The Ceiling” is one of my favorite dance songs of the 1980s.

I'd add Lambada (Kaoma), Touch Me (Samantha Fox), Miss You Much (Janet Jackson), Footloose (Kenny Loggins). By the way, Madonna also had Into the Groove and that song was even bigger than Holiday
