First off, that fish was VERY stressed out. Second over-holding a fish can remove its protective slime coat. Third just moving a fish from one water environment can stress the fish so much it can possibly die. Please be a bit more cautious when doing that type of stuff to a fish. I know I wouldn’t want a fish that pretty to die.
