Call the police to ask how the case is going. You cannot take it for granted that they will follow up even if you give them the evidence on a silver paltter. Sorry for your loss, glad you caught the guy. Consequences matter. Maybe instagram will kick him off if you share your viideo with them too?

Jealousy is a hell of a drug.. drives people to do stupid things.. I'm a firm believer he should be named and shamed but that's up to you.. I'm sorry for your loss, having ANYTHING stolen from you or even a complete stranger just trespassing can feel completely violating..

maybe get a strong, 7' long side tank with a lockable, hinged, metal, mesh, security door on top so fish can swim into it when chased. stagger or angle the fish entrance/portal so thieves can't stick a net in sideways.

I wouldn't trust the cops to DO anything, unless I'd told them that I wanted to press charges for trespassing and theft AND seen them take a report AND asked them for a copy of the report to give to a lawyer.
