They’ll literally smile in your face and talk about you the minute you leave.

Co workers are acquaintances, they're people you have to be around due to circumstance, friends are people you WANT to be around.

Some people at work always call me: my dear, honey, mama... but when I need help, they ignore me.

I have been saying this to my children for over twenty years .you go to work to get a pay check not a friend .
And don’t take your personal business to work and share it because if you tell one you’re telling them all. They are not your friends!

HR is another good example of where they may seem on your side, but at the end of the day they work for the company. Not all HR but some

Co workers ain’t ur friends period and shouldn’t be sharing ur personal business with them. From experience they will chat behind ur back and use everything u said against you.

People are in your lives for a reason and a season, that does not make them your friend.

Yes sir! You’ll see your co-worker’s true intent in those “off moments”. Those moments when you look up (you realize they’re staring at you with a look of contempt) and they have to “fix” their faces when they see you looking back. I’ve been in the same industry for the past 10 years. The level of jealousy, gossip, betrayal, and judgement I’ve seen and experienced has me convinced that a true “work friend”, especially with other women, is nearly impossible. I literally just want to do my job. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I didn’t come here to find a “bestie”. I will, however, be kind to you and enjoy our time working together as much as possible. ✌🏾

if you don’t hear from them outside of work they’re not your friends…

I keep my distance with people who try to call me their friend when we're clearly not. Be careful they are manipulative people.

Boy did I learn this hard way growing up! Now I’m all private.

Remember don't give your energy to everyone because it is your battery, currency, kingdom, resources, spirit, and vitality that you built.

I quit my last job to drive uber full time. It worked out great because I have 2 nice cars for it and make $700-$1000 a week. I've had a few toxic jobs in the past and I'm done. I like being my own boss

I never liked making friends at work. I just go to work and come home. People try to be friends with me and called me "friend", honey I make sure to distance myself. I switched my shifts so I could never work with them again.

Speak truth! Dr. Daniels is so on point. I have been training myself to remember that my coworkers are not my friends. This has made my life easier.

Coworkers are associates. You would likely not know them if it wasn’t for the job. I’m there for my check and the benefits, not the capping and gossiping.

I agree. People are too quick to call someone their "friend", especially in the work place. Naw. Those people are COWORKERS. Now it is possible to make friends in the workplace. But you have to be careful, and take the time to learn someone and feel someone out.
