About 12 years ago I installed a roof top antenna and cut the cord to all pay TV services. I get about 40 HD channels with my roof top antenna. Since I also have Spectrum Wi_Fi I also installed a ROKU to extend the amount of programming I could watch. I save a whole bunch of money by not subscribing to any pay TV service and have plenty of good programing available to me.

I have been using YouTube TV since June. Love it . The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have Mlb network lol .

We have had YoutubeTV for a year and love it. The only problem we have is with one TV LG buffering but YouTube picks back up where the TV drops. We have FireTVs and Roku and they do not have this issue so it is not the Internet of YouTube .

most elderly people are used to a traditional remote. Streaming remotes can be challenging for most elderly

I just switched to YouTube TV yesterday from Hulu. Before that we had Directv and it became way too expensive. What started out at around $95 a month turned into $167!. So we tried Hulu because one of our kids has it. We found certain glitches that were extremely annoying. It would cut off the end of a show! Very frustrating. And when I tried to delete programs they still came back. It was odd, My son doesn’t have those problems so who knows.Their support was great though. The tech deleted some programs and they still came back. I hope YouTube tv is better. My youngest has this service and likes it. They are offering a 3 month promotion of $52.99 and then it goes up to the $72.99. It appears that they don’t have a service number for a live tech so we’ll see how that goes. I watched a show last night and the end was not cut off so I’m pleased. They also have AMC and PBS which Hulu doesn’t have so that’s great too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.😊

Wow, I'm glad I haven't been paying for the cable. Didn't realize it was so expensive. Fortunately for me, I watch very little TV aside from YouTube, and certain streaming services I like. I gave up on hulu years ago because of their f'ed up advertiser management; videos embedded within videos were circumventing every privacy and utility setting I had, even on premium. And I've not had Netflix for several years, either; though that's one I'd probably get if I didn't already live with people who have it. Regular TV just doesn't capture my attention.

You provided no hands on info such as navigation etc. Some ppl value the ease of navigation when considering what platform to use when dropping cable. It can't just all be about saving $$$

I just signed up for mines. Did you have any issues with your tvs staying signed in? I have had an issue with devices not staying signed in as in other tvs in the house I would still have to sign in from my phone in order for our smart tvs to get back into YouTube tv. Is it because I need multiple accounts added to the YouTube tv account?

So what’s the point you still need the Internet or could you do without it?

I have Xfinity, I also pay for MAX which I can watch within Xfinity but cannot record shows, since you can share Youtube TV if you buy MAx, Showtime etc do you watch these within YTTV or do you have to go thru the apps, can you record the premium channels? My goal here is not to have each family member who is on our YTTV subscription to each be paying for their own premium channels if that is posssible

We had YTTV for about two years...and initially it was a savings over cable; but, after they raised the price the third time in less than two years - I cancelled it!
