This actually works. I started drinking tart cherry juice about half an hour before bed and my deep sleep portion increased from 1.5 hours to over 3 hours per night.

I started drinking Cheribundi cherry juice a few months ago and I can personally attest that it definitely improves sleep quality, but the biggest surprise has been the recovery benefits. I drink 4 oz after a fasted workout (when I eat breakfast) and another 4 oz at dinner. I read another study that showed evidence that ingesting twice daily showed maximum benefit.

There is a Cherry Bay Orchards that is 100% Tart Montgomery Cherry Concentrate that I buy at Publix and I mix 1oz with a 1/4 cup of water and take it every night, I also used the same amount on a shake after my workout and I sleep with no pain.

Went to Amazon right after this video and ordered some tart cherry. I found a brand called Cheribundi and they have a sleep blend with these ingredients: Tart Cherry Juice, water, L-Theanine (tea extract), Valerian Root, Reb A (natural Stevia leaf sweetener).

I like tart cherry but I wish it had less carbohydrates and natural occurring sugar. It will likely throw you out of ketosis if that is important to you.

Tart cherries themselves are supposed to be good for gout. I've never found them to try it out, but it does seem to make sense if they reduce uric acid.

If you are worried about the fructose, which you really shouldn’t, red cabbage is low calorie, extremely low in carbs and a good source of anthocyanins.
Also, if you are an athlete/bodybuilder, you can choose to eat purple sweet potatoes which are a great source of complex carbs to fill your muscles with glycogen when they are depleted and may help with sleep when taken at night. If you add Turmeric/curcumin to your daily dietary needs, this will double down on reduced inflammation when paired with foods with anthocyanins along with other great benefits toward your health.

You learn something new every day.
Usually, melatonin was my go to for sleeping needs but there were times where my actual sleep time increased but I still felt groggy afterwards.
Maybe the tart cherry juice would be different

There is one negative with it though; it does break a fast, which sucks because sleeping for however long as part of your fast is an easy way to add those hours as part of your fast.
