hi, jw what's your thoughts on psychedelic research. For example, I know psilocybin is being studied for various mental health conditions. Perhaps a video topic ??

I had a serious back injury, very painful and debilitating. My physician put me on gabapentin because another medicine I take prohibited opioids. I took gabapentin for over a year. Gabapentin is for epileptics, so any other subscription is off-label. A year later I just couldn’t bear the problems I was have thinking, remembering, recalling. I didn’t speak much because I couldn’t express myself In sentences. I was overwhelmed with feelings of uselessness and lost interest in life. I searched on line for something that would help me, and found Lion’s Mane. It didn’t do much when I first started taking it, but slowly my brain started functioning again? Three years later, I find I’m beginning to recall where I put things, but recalling words, old memories, appointments are still not great but getting better. I am 75 and grateful for any little improvement, as long as it continues in a positive direction.

As an adult with attention span issues, I have been taking lions mane for about a week now and I already notice an improvement in my concentration and mood.

Since its not patent-able there's little incentive for big pharma to perform testing.

I can't speak on the other stuff but as someone with anxiety, I'm telling you right now Lion's Mane is no joke and helps a ton with it.

I've been taking it for a month. I'm someone who suffers from an array of mental disorders. This thing works. I can now play my guitar and have way better hand to brain coordination. I less forgetful. I don't stutter as much as I used to and can speak much faster without forgetting what to say next. It's allowed me to be my old self in the sense that I'm just generally a very witty person. It's basically healing my brain after the damages of SSRI's. I still have a bit, a bit of brain fog but it has kicked it down a whole lot. Also! if you train and take lions mane, it'll heal your brain even faster. I just did my first HIIT cardio yesterday and right now my erection has came back! sorry I don't mean to be rude but SSRI's can cause ED, I started running again and it's suuuper helpful. Reap the rewards! it's working for me and a week isn't good enough, you need at least a month. Cheers!

In my personal experience it works. I am taking it for its neuroregenerative and neuroprotective benefits as I have slept practically not at all since I stopped taking benzodiazepines nearly 3 years ago. The stress/ lack of sleep has taking a serious toll on my cognitive performance. I noticed an almost immediate (within the first 24 hours of beginning taking it) that I became much calmer, my mind became clearer, and my memory better in general.

I know this is an old video but I just want to add I had my mom try Lion's Mane who is diagnosed with bipolar and schizophrenia and she has said she's noticed improvements after a week of daily use.

I have been taking lions mane for a week and I love it. I am highly aware of my body and mind from studying meditation and Yoga. I can feel the lions mane working with my mood, memory, and focus. I also think its important to eat clean, workout, manage stress levels, get rest, and have the a healthy mind set of knowing the product will work. I will be taking lions mane for the rest of my life. I just bought a 8 month supple because I'm dedicated to transforming my body and mind.

Neurogal - I appreciate your fair and honest review, and I'm not at all surprised you didn't feel much after a couple weeks. That's a very short time for someone as young and sharp as yourself. I know testimony is not science, BUT I do hope this comment section is not lost on you! The crowd is not exactly split here as one would typically expect in a forum about a supplement. In fact ALL the older people I know who have tried Lion's Mane, including myself, have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it works. I personally held out for a few months thinking it could be a placebo effect, but eventually it became more and more obvious to myself and those who know me best, I was happier and my short term memory improved.

There's nothing wrong with me, I take lions mane, there's still nothing wrong with me.
Psilocybin mushrooms gave me a vivid recap of my brilliant childhood. I get overwhelming nostalgia quite often, I don't know if that's good or bad, but it stops me in my tracks a few times every day and I'm taken over by happy feeling and memories.

It definitely works, I have been taking it for 4 months and my word recall magically got really good out of nowhere. Lion's mane is the only explanation in my opinion.

What a fraud, I walked up to a lion and tried to eat his mane. He mauled me and now I'm disabled.

I've been taking it consistent for 6 weeks. I'm fairly certain it has helped with memory recall.

I believe the key to understanding the variety of responses people have to Lion's Mane lies in the different forms in which it is consumed. There are primarily two methods: consuming a powdered version of the whole mushroom in a capsule (which is a small amount), or using an extract (though the specific extraction process is not mentioned) instead of simply eating a Lion's Mane mushroom.
Living in Asia makes it convenient for me to obtain the whole mushroom, and there is little doubt that consuming one has a significant effect. It's not surprising that some countries have even banned the consumption of whole mushrooms. The primary effects I experience are as follows:
- Enhanced mental clarity: It's as if a fog is lifted from my mind, even when I didn't realize I had any mental fog to begin with.
- Instant readiness upon waking up: Both my body and mind are instantly awake, no drowsiness
- Pre-sleep dreaming: I often start dreaming even before fully falling asleep. It may sound unusual, but it's the best way I can describe this phenomenon.
