Yea and yet I had a “Dr” prescribe me 50 mg. Prednisone for 5 days once and told me there was no need to taper…. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤬
Thankfully I had enough 5 mg. Tablets left over from a previous Dr and tapered myself. When I told 2 other practitioners what had been told to me they were appalled!
I know I have adrenal insufficiency which is why I take Hydrocortisone 5 mg. Tablets 4 x a day now and feel SO much better! It’s a physiologic dosage and is closest to what your adrenals produce naturally.
Please read the book Safe uses of Cortisol by Dr. William Jefferies. Not a long read and very easy to understand. I am only 4 days in and already am improving after a lifetime of feeling like crap! Will be 44 next month.
