Sympathetic pain is a real thing.
And I felt that.

that calf went from stretched and ready to soft and limp looking like a jelly from that bounce

I tore this. Worst pain in my life never went to the doctor for private reasons. It took me over two years to feel normal. I’ll probably be miserable when I’m older, but it is what it is.

I just tore my Achilles tendon this past Wednesday at work. Surgery should be scheduled this week🙏🏾

Certain antibiotics can cause Achilles Tension rupture.
The flox group of antibiotics.

My former gymnastics coach (who also is a school PE teacher) snapped his Achilles while playing basketball with his school. He said it felt like someone hit it with a baseball bat

In regards to staying off your leg for 6-8 weeks: I had to do about 4 weeks after my ACL tore a piece of bone off where it attaches. All it took was landing a little awkwardly because one of my feet got caught on something for a moment as I jumped about 5 feet down. Like I freed my foot in time, but I couldn't get into a landing position in time and my one leg was straight when I landed on it. Heard a cross between a loud tick and a snap. Anyway, after 4 weeks of keeping most of my weight off my leg, it was about half the size. It used to be the bigger of my two legs by a little, but 2 years later it's still the skinny leg now despite plenty of rehab and exercise

Mine tore off the calcaneus. Took a damn year after healing to walk right. Fun times 💯

I broke my foot.
Doctor told me - at least 6 weeks in cast. After week he said 6weeks again so total 7weeks.
Now halfway there. It's hard to not to be able use both legs and walk..
First time in my 30 years broke something other than my nose in kindergarten 😅

One of the most painful injuries you’ll ever have.

Hi Dr, how often do you get proximal hamstring avulsions and have your surgical repair patients recovered well? Thanks in advance 😊

His snap just trying to push his truck or was it because of the angle he was trying to do? How did that happen exactly? This is something I need to avoid but never feared before 😂😂😂

Omg that's horrifying, definitely a new fear. My acl tore acl and meniscus and my knee caps( had to have pieces of fractured knee cap out)and spine were fractured that was rough I can't even imagine my Achilles tendon going😭☠️

Full rupture here, and I wish I hadn’t had surgery. 🙋🏻‍♀️ I popped it in the first exercise of an hour long HIIT, finished my workout, and then walked home 2 miles from the gym because I couldn’t press the clutch in my car. My surgeon actually said it was hanging by a thread and I wonder if I should have just let it heal naturally. I tore it 6 more times after surgery doing really minor things after I thought it was all healed. I think the surgery shortened it too much.

Can you show a full thickness tear to ATFL right side repair please. I also have a calcified Achilles. What is the treatment for that if any?
Thank you
