As a UX designer or UX researcher, asking specific interview questions over general ones will usually give you better insights. When conducting user interviews, with the goal of understanding exactly how a user does something, aim to ask for detailed examples.

In this short, I go over two examples. One is general, the other being specific. Let me know which of these ways would be more efficient for UX designers and UX research.

imo "how you reset a password might" reveal the user's mental model and the "specific one" might be their last experience or might be general.

yeah BUTTT it can take a while before you get choosen. hundreds of folks apply too. you can go a long time before you actually get pick.
