Actually, in this very weak study, the lowest percentage of carbs was 37%, which us not even low carb....more like moderate. And no, not everyone who eats low carb eats high animal protein.

Are these people crazy?! I think so. Show the friggin science I for one, thrive on 0- 20 carbs a day High far I've only lost 115 pounds so far in 11 months. I've gotten off of insulin and my heath has improved big time....There's my science

I would say eat whole foods, & health will come.Everyone is different. I eat pretty low carb(natural carbs).Veggies based lifestyle, with beans, potatoes, fruit and a little meat. I feel Great!

nothing wrong with whole food carbs. Generally when people say low carb they are directing the comment towards white carbs. - processed foods. Theres not problem in moderation but many people tend to overeat processed foods more than they would a piece of steak. #satiety

You’re telling me you can really track someone for 25 years and call it science? Were those people honest on the questionnaires? Did they do drugs? How stressful were their lives? What was the genetic background? I mean come on...

100 grams of carbs are my limit. If I eat more that 120 grams my blood sugar goes up.

I think that this report basically just said that 'moderation is key', not that low carbing is bad. It's not really clear.

Ya, go tell this to the maasai people in Kenya. They live off mostly milk, meat and animal blood. And they are very healthy.

Moderation is a matter of opinion. Everyone has their own definition of moderation.

So what she is saying is this. You need to strive for 250ish grams of carbs a day.

Okay let’s put that in perspective.
1 plain bagel is about 55g of carbs.
To reach that amount I need to eat 4.5 bagels a day.
Assuming that bagel is about 280 calories that means I’m eating 1270 calories from bagels alone.

In what world does the average American need that many grams of carbs? It’s all going to turn into sugar and spike your insulin. I just don’t understand where they get these studies from.

Recently everyone have been talking about benefits of keto and lchf diets... But its a bit one sided discussions... Keto and lchf arent for everyone. May be good for overweight, diabetics or people stueggling with autoimmune but not for weak, skinny, underweight or simply people looking to gain weight. I tried lchf because I feel a victim to one sided discussions... Lchf didnt work out for me. I need about 200-250g carbs per Day.

Well that was as useful as a chocolate teapot.

2000 calories are too much for a person who never exercises or who has a job where they sit still 8-10h a day. Most of us are sedentary. Less movement - less food.

Is she saying people who ate low carbs and people who ate high carbs didn't live very long? Or was she trying to say people who ate low carbs didn't live as long as people who ate high carbs? 🤔
