I’m reading Treva’s book. It’s fantastic! I love being single… about 85% of the time. I don’t need to be married again, but I’d love to be in a committed relationship, to be that person’s person and vice versa. I’m in a new relationship that is going well (one month), and I’m feeling good about just being open to what it is right now. But it’s challenging at times to resist projecting in my mind to what might be.

Ready for a new relationship means you're done the homework on yourself and you know what resonates for you. It's so important to interact with others and observe the difference between what's in your mind and how you actually behave. What do you think you want and what you actually do tells you where you are in the process. We are really good at tricking ourselves! And in the end remember, nobody can do your push-ups for you!

I'm a guy and i stumbled across your videos 1 day ago! I do enjoy your topics and feel I have a lot of good information I could share with the both of you. I've been around the block a few times. Experience with dating sites... learning to set boundaries, how to say no... how to communicate...intimacy and so much more. Keep up the great work!!!

I think when we make mistakes, it can be for a number of reasons. But you can't see them until some time afterwards. In the moment, the emotional pain is the most difficult. I like how Treeva talked about the need for control. We can fall into relationships in contrast to where we are in life. If your struggles are financial or emotional, the people you attract seem to match that. Imo, when life got better for me as an individual, the people who were toxic started to fade away. Today, I feel very comfortable in my own skin, and being single feels more comfortable. The next phase I imagine, will reflect where one is in their life, Good discussion Silke.

I sure do hate being single and would dearly love to be a wife an have husband - yes marriage only, thankyou . I have gotten to know myself good and proper over past decade and a half: plenty of self care, hobbies, trips, etc. Can't help wondering: how is that compelling and attractive and to whom exactly?? Seems I've become invisible!

I don't see what the big problems are with relationships. No need to be a difficult thing. You agree you love each other and you both make time for each other. If there are difficulties then you got some serious problems or you were raised dysfunctional family or something.

I have been a widow for 4 years this month. I am ready now to try dating again the problem I am having is the kind of men I always picked were needy men. I see that in myself now. I now just want someone in my life for fun someone to spend time with. I am not looking for love or to settle down my problem how do you do this without looking like I am flaky or easy?

Pity more people do not have such a sensible outlook as you two.

I remember watching Treva and her husband on this channel dating back a couple years ago. It was quite obvious that she wore the pants. It is not wrong with a woman being the boss in her relationship, as long as her guy needs it and is ok being the subordinate.

Oooh I cringed a bit there in the beginning. I am an empath and I am nice and I do not like people saying I am not nice, so one gets into a bad groove of doing things to be liked, even though I do not like it much. I know I need to be more assertive and stand on my values, even though I will have a chance of losing someone I like. I also tend to go out with someone I have doubts about because they are so nice and adament and I think I should give them a chance, only to later realise I was right at the start, I should not have even dated them. So yes, I am having many conversations with myself and playing scenarios in my mind and not dating as I do not feel ready yet, my last relationship just proved all my points to myself and when I feel ready I will venture out there again and until then, I am happy with my own company and being single. I have lots of friends and interaction with people so I am not lonely, I think that is hard. I do want to be in a good relationship and must thank this channel of yours who has given me so much information and wisdom and laughs, I feel so much more prepared now

Sometimes you are ignoring another persons red flags. I was a people pleaser and should have listened to my body and what my brain was telling me. Taking a year off from dating - 3 months to go is a great idea. Can see the progress that is happening.

I like being single. I hated all the times I had to be "teamed" up with someone for some event. BTW....I don't dance.

No way! My wife died in 2014 and I am so happy living alone and not seeing anyone, not even for a drink!
