WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.

The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

There's your problem. He's labeled himself as a "logical person" therefore any thoughts he has must in fact be logical. Thinking logically is not an identity it's an action.

I love how Matt got the caller to kill his own argument by answering what he asked. The caller just doesn't understand that he did so by answering it. What a masterful use of logic on Matts part.

Someone failed to teach their children well several decades ago and Richard has to struggle with the results of that, my sympathies.

I've never understood Richard's kind of reasoning: "I think I have information that disproves one of the best supported scientific theories in history.
So I better present it to an atheist talk show host instead of a board of certified experts in the field...

Matt's trying to dumb things down enough for Richard, but Matt doesn't realize it's not possible to dumb things down enough for Richard. :p

We're two seconds in and Richard has already completely lost me.

I'm less than four minutes into this video and already I had to pause it, and try to shake off my frustration. Richard thinks that if evolution were proven false, that would then prove a god exists? Seriously? That's ridiculous. Proving one false doesn't at all prove the other true.

How can one even begin to have intelligent conversations with these people like this?
