How did vegetation survive under brine water for a year. There would be even more trouble for plants.
Creationists claim that sea was at least 10, 000 feet. There would no light and extem pressure. No plant could have survived under these conditions. I think that’s a fair observation. Certainly worth noting. However we rarely ever find fossils of a full organism. Let alone enough to be able to see these animals evolve over time. There is also a thing called spontaneous evolution. I took science in school and they taught us evolution is an extremely slow process. You’d never see it in a few generations. This is old science. Outdated. More recent research has shown evolution happen within a few generations. Evolution doesn’t follow a pattern or strict laws like physics. It’s honestly more like quantum physics. Meaning life doesn’t follow any rules. It’s chaos. The more chaotic the environment the more drastic these changes will be and the sooner they occur. When we look at Dinosaurs for example. The reason they would go millions of years with only slight changes is because during that period of our world, Mother Earth was the most stable place for the longest period of life existence on Earth. 165 million years of uninterrupted peace and balance. No cataclysms, no ice ages, no meteors or asteroids, no giant earthquakes or eruptions. We have never seen anything like it since. We humans would be lucky to have a period of stability like that. We’d certainly be able to get off this planet by then if we wanted to or needed to.
