Better balance when walking 😇

Here’s one balance exercise that can help you feel more steady when walking 🙌🏼

Try to walk one foot in front of the other like you’re on a balance beam- called tandem walking ☝🏽

You can make it easier by widening your stance. You can make it more difficult by also including backwards ↔️

Modify as needed. Safety is incredibly important when challenging balance ⚠️

Balance is helpful in supporting the joints, reducing joint pain and stiffness and also with osteoporosis- preventing falls ✅

Set a timer for 30-60 seconds and see how many steps you can complete- 2-3 sets if possible ⏱️

Thank you. I remember when my sons had their college orientations the student volunteer who took everyone on the tour of campus walked backwards the entire time!! Wow😊

I had a total hip and knee replacement on my left side and that made my right side shorter than the left so what do you do to get the balance in walking 😊
