Undervolt your Laptop Ryzen 9 7940HX for more FPS and Lower Temperature! - Tutorial

Undervolting really seems to be the best option in terms of CPU optimization for the Ryzen 7000 series. Even on laptops. Be it a 7940hs, 7945hx, 7945hx3d, 7845hx, 7840hx, 7745hx, 7645hx, if you do it properly, you’re gonna lose virtually 0 performance or even get an increase, while dramatically reducing heat and power consumption. Today we are featuring a Ryzen 9 7940HX in the Asus RoG Strix G17

Hey man, I just undervolted my 4090 using your guide however there’s one step of your guide I cannot accomplish. So I did everything right however my power limit doesn’t go over 100 in the afterburner, do you know the cause? Thanks

@ImWateringPSUs BIOS undervolt won't be applied to my understanding, you can put in every value, but it won't be applied on Windows. Can you test it with HWINFO to see if the boost clocks actually go up with a BIOS undervolt? Core isolation must be disabled on Windows and in BIOS SVM (virtualization) must be disabled as well.

Sadly my bios when i attempt to open amd overclocking the screen merely flashes but never enters the menu, so i guess they locked it even though i have a 7945HX cpu...sad...

Hey mate, thanks for the video. Got a question if you don’t mind. Got a Asus Zeph Duo Se 15 model QS with a Ryzen 9 5980hx and for some reason the “AMD Overclocking” is missing completely, got any ideas as to why? I’ve updated bios to latest, still no luck either.

Can anyone help me with my problem? I got the Alienware 16 m1 with this CPU and I get issues were it would get choppy lag bad along with cracking audio, I do have a cooling pad but I still get this issue at times
