If you have Ryzen use PBO curve optimizer and plug in a negative value between 1 and 30.

Bro thank SO MUCH, I recently built my new pc and on idle was 90.4°C but now it's at 51.7°C (I have a Ryzen 5 5500). YOU SAVED MY CPU

Got it from 70c in idle to 48-50 in idle and from 80-85c ingame to 78c max with almost the same performance. I was so annoyed siting there sweating my balls off😂

With my Ryzen 9 7900X, just an offset of negative 0.07 volts was all it took to get the idle temps down to around 47 C. Thank you for your assistance. I had thought I had screwed up the thermal paste until I happened to run across your video and I wasn't the only one having this problem.

thank you my man, I was genuienly worried for my cpu I just bought today (Ryzen 9 5900x) because I'm still using my wraith prism cooler that came with my Ryzen 7 3700x and my fan speeds were ramping up and my idle temps were bouncing anywhere from 60°c-70°c (load temps were not really getting too much farther from these numbers) and setting it to 1.35 seemed to completely fix my fan issue and the temps drastically. (at least 15°c less than before).

Asus boards appear to have this issue. I just came across a $240 7600x/Asus ROG b650e-e used deal. I noticed in my he bios the 7600x getting into the 65c range. I saw the 1.440v on the cpu and thought “that’s not right”. I simply used curve optimizer negative 30 which allows for the voltage to still reduce into the .8 range under lite load and peaks now at 1.28v. To me it seems CO negative 15, 20, 25 or 30 is a better way to reduce voltage.

My three x670 Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX boards do not have the same issue. Asus even with the latest bios defaults very high Vcore.

Hey everyone, I have watched 50+ videos re arranging bios settings and tried many softwares but nothing worked for the past 3 weeks as i person who has received a new pc i was worried but after wasting my time on all of these videos , I went to my guy who build my pc and he changed the orientation of my cpu cooler fan. My cpu on idle ( 60°C ) and under load ( 100°C ) went to 25°C on idle and 60°C under load . Hope this helped ❤❤❤❤

My ryzen 5600x temp drop from 85 to 79 max.

I only use curve Optimizer (-15) and leave the vcore voltage at auto. Pbo disable.

I have done so many tests, and I am pretty sure that the system need to rise voltage from 0.9 to 1.4 in order to process some heavy tasks

Using minus curve will give all your cpu cores a bit of time to relax and lower the cpu temp.

On the other hand, manual setting the vcore voltage at 1, 1 or 1, 2 will reduce temp and performance significantly.

Dramatic positive effect on 1700X when set to 1.250v. Wonder if I can go even lower? Will try it on my 5800X as well

What is the performance difference between GPU centered games and CPU centered games?

Does the lower voltage has an effect on CPU heavy gaming?

I got a 5900x with a 240 rad that was always in temp but would spike. I did your offset switch, and man. No spikes and better temps

I took my Ryzen 3600 down to 1.28 and can run a stable 4200Mhz, temps are still high and they do reach 90 under heavy load but I don't want to go any lower.

Note that the 1.45 voltage set in the bios doesn't nesisarrily mean your cpus running at that voltage. Run cpuz and something like furmarks cpu burner or cinebench to see what you actual voltage is running at. My 5600x ran at 1.272 max while the bios was set to 1.4 so a 0.050 would've done nothing for the cpu.

It's total nonsense that you need to upgrade your 1700X. I tried these settings to cool the CPU. Went down to 1.2375V. Clock speed while gaming Atomic Heart 1440P Atomic settings was as high as 3778MHz Temp was 62.3 air cooled. FPS Avg was 157fps with a RX 6800. I tried other games too. Clock speed in most games was pretty much locked on most cores at 3502MHz but some cores went higher. I could probably manually clock it and keep it higher. The only AAA titles where you might run into low fps is Starfield and CP2077 from what I've seen. That looks like a game problem not your hardware problem to me. These two games are poorly optimized is what it is. Fortunately I got Starfield Premium ($100) for free with my GPU and I waited to buy CP2077 on sale. Those two games are thrash when it comes to optimization. It's laziness by the developers. I see high fps averages with all the other latest games like Immortals and Forespoken. Remnant II runs great too at about 60fps with just a 1700X. I only run all my games at 1440p Epic/Ultra settings. We need to quit believing the hype when it comes to some of these games like Starfield and CP2077 until they fix their games. It's not your CPU. Its crazy to go out and buy a whole new CPU just to play one or two games when the real problem is bad game developing

Just got a Ryzen 7700X 8 Core, 16 Thread Desktop, Temps aren't too bad it appears for now, max seen while gaming on one core was 86.9C, (Air Cooled) I tried Precision Boost Overdrive, All Core, Negative offset, -30, but PC kept crashing after that, ended up having to set Bios Back to Defaults. Not sure if i should try it again at some point or not
