As a crappy runner who wished he could be serious I know there are a lot of runners who really struggle with weight issues. There is a reason eating disorders run rampant through long distance running community. Enjoy your satire. In this case you may want to add a disclaimer or link at the end for runners looking for their 'perfect' race weight.

As a Serious Runner I have for a long time struggled with my weight. I took professional advice and now I am happy that I am no longer overweight. I am now officially under height.

As a fat runner I know that being double the weight of kipchogie means a 4 hour marathon for me means I am just as fit as the great man. 👍

Funny! Great video as always! I love all the clever and subtle things you toss into your videos (like the pic of Sage).

as a heavy runner.., I think the term was once “Clydesdale”, I have never worried about anything you talked about.

Another great video.

Great vid…But from one Serious Runner to another, weight is really a measure of how much glycogen I’ve stored to crush the hopes and dreams of the “hobby joggers” around me. Making sure to do calf raises at the starting line, for the “flex” quotient. So I am all good with my higher number. I am all about the power-to-weight ratio, so if I consume and wear the right “brands”, ratio is optimal. My glycogen machine is ONLY filled up with Maurten and minimally draped by Tracksmith.

I don't care how much pounds I weigh.
I'm not from the US, so I use kilogramms.

You forgot to mention how big of a boost one can get to their Vo2max simply by losing weight (as you know weight is a big component factor in the Vo2max equation 🤣!). FYI Ryan Hall is like 5'10" too...don't want to compare yourself to someone who is a different height (or do you?!)

when i took upon training for running for the first time i droped about 35 pounds because i did not understand the metabolic systems involved in running or anynthing about running i thought being skinny was the norm... i was having a bunch of physical and mental troubles and i did not felt good with my body and myself, i went from being a robust martial artist to a skinny runner who was destroying himself... then thankfully the pandemic hit (it forced me to stop and think), and stopped running for a while, and i recovered my weight, now i have started running again, I am eating healthy and better, i am feeling great, my body looks amazing and my running is top notch, and every time i see improvements, wich have helped my mental state so don´t be decieved, look at triathletes they don´t look as skinny as many runners... great satire but a disclamer would be nice

As a hobby jogger who is aiming to just run faster so I can BQ and therefore be classed as a serious runner, I’d really appreciate a video on strength and conditioning training. How do you manage to do it without gaining muscle weight? Can you get epic content from strength training? You can’t put a price on epicness.

As a serious runner who is 45, it's not so much about building muscle, but trying to keep from losing the muscle you do have.

I'm at a cross roads. Spent the last 3 years getting jacked and no cardio. Now I want to get into running seriously and train for races. I think the running is going to win cause it gives me goals and more drive.
