In Indonesia we have this kind of food as a side dish eaten with rice called Sambal Goreng Ati. The flavor is savory and a bit spicy because it is added the Indonesian traditional chilli paste.

If you want to make steak frite just soak the diced up potatoes dry them then put them in a pan with oil and butter then you’ll get lovely crispy potatoes
