Turkish Delight may be a delight for some accustomed palates, but can be fancifully altered with a number of different flavor concentrates. I was read this book as a small child and I always wondered what could be so good that you would sell out your family.

I studied in turkey for 3 years and hands down the best Turkish delight I’ve tasted is pomegranate with pistachio
It’s this same recipe just add pomegranate flavoring instead of the rose water and when you pour the mixture in to the tray break down some pistachios and throw them in there, the rest is the same
I recommend you guys try it

Turkish delight was the first thing I ever googled when I got my iPod touch in 2008.

People so harsh on Edmund for being swayed by candy, not thinking about how he had been living with WWII rations for years and likely hadn't had sugar at all when it wasn't someone in his family's birthday.

Everyone is out here hating on rosewater, I would just like to represent the small population of people who do In fact love rose water, and also the bar for me to betray my three siblings is way lower than bribe of literally any candy

Today I tried making this in pineapple flavour, fingers crossed.

Update: It was a success. I just didn't simmer it long enough so it was a little too soft but my little nephew loved it.

Rosewater is the most traditional one but you can find so many other flavors in Turkey. I personally like Turkish Delight made with milk and the best ones are coconut coated or pistachio added. Non-dairy wise, lemon is great. Try it sometime!

But does it taste good enough for me to betray my friends?

You forgot the heroin. That's what makes it good.

When I was little and barely knew the words “Turkish” and “Delight” I thought Edwin (the boy) was serve frozen meat

Edit: I am American and I never seen Turkish delight until I watch Narnia.
