That setup reminds me of a display at the Apple stores!

I have a MacBook Pro 2018 15" space grey that I bought during the summer for school. I made sure to get the maxed out specs so that it lasts a long time. Specifically intel core i9, 2.9 GHz 6-core, with 32 gb ram and it's blazing fast. Does whatever I want to do with ease.

I got one of these (i7, 64GB RAM, 512GB storage) off eBay earlier this year to use as my dedicated music workstation computer for logic pro (though it does get used occasionally for other things like coding, light video editing, etc). It's been fantastic for me. I honestly bought it as a stopgap solution until I could save up more money to get an M2 Pro mini. It has all the hardware features I wanted (Full port selection, multiple display support, enough storage and ram, etc) for significantly less money than even a base model m2 would run me. I don't find that it gets as hot or as loud as people say it does very often. It can for sure but not very often in my use case. The only things that really make it show it's age for me are things like exporting music projects taking a few mins or apps taking that little extra split second longer to load. It can definitely get bogged down in video editing but I don't do a lot of that so it's serviceable. When I bought it I figured it wouldn't get anything past Sonoma (which was just a few months old at the time) and that I would use it for maybe a year until I could get a newer one. But it got Sequoia, it runs it just fine, and it's still doing the music stuff like a champ. So, I honestly might just keep rolling with it until we're getting close to the end of Sequoia's security support. Really solid machine, glad I took the chance on it. And whenever I do end up getting a new one I think the 2018 might make a fine Linux machine....

Ive been rocking this thing since 2020/1 not quite sure. I upgraded mine to 32GB ram and let me say this thing is not showing any signs of slowing down. If you upgrade the ram, id say its solid for a couple more years

Please make more real world usage tests: browsing, scrolling and animations smoothness of UI. Benchmarks, video editing and gaming on older systems dont matter for most users!

I have a 2019 iMac with the same 6-core i7 and 32 GB of RAM. I got it at an absolutely killer deal (around $300--they normally go for close to twice that). The iMac has SUBSTANTIALLY better graphics--mine has the Radeon Pro 560X with dedicated graphics memory.

Yo, can you do a Video, where you buy & review all the 5 Colors of the iPhone 5C, maybe perhaps running on the original iOS Version that came with the iPhone 5C?

in my opinion this is the best choice for macos and intel in recent times. easier to open than the iMac pro, better deal than the MacBooks, cheaper than the mac pro, expandable graphics and memory. This machine is my main driver and can game well.

This machine shall be forgotten. It is not worth it. Either get a 2012 quad core for light use, as those are around 100 bucks, or get a Mac Pro 2013, which destroys this machine in every way for half the price.
The 2013 MacPro is faster, it can do Minecraft in 4K 60fps without a hiccup, they usually come with 64GB of RAM, you can do a 10-core CPU updrage for 15€, and even swap SSD's. Also the D500 is dead quiet in every usage profile. The Mini blasts off when gaming/FCP renders and such.
