The British Sovereign though smaller and 22ct is more recognised in the UK than the 24ct Britannia.

Sovereign’s are more fungible and you can buy 19th Century ones with just a few percent premium from pawnshops and then sell them for their numismatic value.

also the obverse of the eagle is the most beautiful design ever put on a coin ... having said that, the buffalo is truly stunning to behold

My favourite is the buffalo but I buy Maples due to price and beauty.

Here in Canada the Maples are great, but I'll stick to Buffaloes. I'm pretty sure there's enough left to go around to Americans.

Depends on the premiums. American Eagles and Buffalos are ridiculous right now. That's why people will buy others. At the end of the day, amount of gold primarily determines the value when selling.
