I actually dont think Nvidia is even interested in selling consumer cards anymore. All they care about is enterprise gpus. I could even see them leaving the consumer market completely.

I am old enough to have seen future proof computers that cost 5k in Goodwill, 780s, 980s for less than $100 and 2080s for $180.

Even if you are rich it'd just be better to wait and buy a previous flagship, otherwise you are just literally throwing money away.

Bit of a coincidence that these prices get released right after the 4080 and 4090 end production. They've leaked these prices simply to get people to buy up current stock instead, and it also will make the actual prices (they'll still be high, $1, 800-$$2, 000 for the 5090 and $899-$999 for the 5080 ) look like a good deal. Pretty simple businesses strategy, nvidia new these prices would leak. Its sad that people are actually so willing to pay those prices for the 5090 though, sad times for pc gaming
